Casa Vecchia enjoys a Mediterranean style climate: cold winters and hot, dry summers. As you can see from the table, sunshine and warmth definitely increase in May and the weather is perfect through to October.
November – February: Winter
It’s quite cold during this period but there are two wood fires, an AGA in the kitchen, and underfloor heating along with radiators in each room. There’s nothing better than snuggling up in front of the fire with a warming winter stew – you could even buy some cingale caught that same day by local huntsmen.
March – May: Spring
The days are getting longer and the warming sunshine brings the garden to life. Although still chilly at night, it’s warm in the sunshine during the day. We normally turn the Jacuzzi on at about this time of year.
June – October: Summer
In summer time, there are long, glorious days of sunshine and the pool is the perfect place to cool off.
