Lake Trasimeno is central Italy’s largest lake and only 30 minutes’ drive from Casa Vecchia – and it’s a beautiful drive! Here you can enjoy the shops and cafes of Passignano by the lake, or take a boat to one of the islands. For the naturalists, the birdlife is good and there are even wild boar and porcupines to see – if you’re lucky!
The nearest golf course is Il Campo da Golf di Antognolla. This 18-hole Championship Golf Course is designed by the famous architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. and winds its way around the medieval castle of Antognolla with a backdrop of unspoiled far reaching views, abundant woodland and natural flora.
Besides the course at the Antognolla Club you will also find a well-equipped Pro shop, a practice driving range and putting green, as well as the charming Club House & Bar, the authentic restaurant ‘Il Caldaro’, serving local Umbrian cuisine. There is also a family friendly outdoor pool for those that prefer the 19th hole!
The green fee for 18 holes is €55 on weekdays and €65 on weekends. You can also rent clubs and golf buggies.

Cycle through the rich history and enchanting landscape of Umbria and Tuscany. Join organised tours or personalised trips from 2 km to 200km – all this can be arranged by our Property Manager, showing you the best routes and providing the best equipment.
The walk starts with a stiff climb through a planted pine forest pine forest. After about 20 minutes, just as the pines give way to oak trees, you come across the remains of the prehistoric fort. From here you get the first good views onto the Upper Tiber Valley and the Appenine mountains … our Property Manager can arrange organised walks or perhaps personalised trips foraging for mushrroms, truffles and olive picking.
Namaste!
